Pfizer has recently admitted that its erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are counterfeit, but their sales have been falling by the wayside. The company is also planning a major recall of some of its products.
Pfizer has been testing out an erectile dysfunction medication called, which was found to have more of a sexual-enhancing effect than the drug, and it has been doing so for years. The company said yesterday that its erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are also counterfeit.
"Pfizer's ED medicines are just a little bit counterfeit," said David D. Schultheits, Pfizer's vice president of research and development. "It's an important product."
The FDA is investigating whether Pfizer, which made Viagra, could also have been selling the drug in bad taste.
Pfizer has tested Viagra before and has found that it contains the active ingredient sildenafil, which is thought to be the active ingredient in Cialis. Cialis, which has its peak in the early morning hours, has a peak at 4 a.m., and its peak is at 11 a.m.
But Cialis has not been tested in over-the-counter sale of Viagra.

Viagra was found to contain a small amount of sildenafil, Smith said. It's also not clear whether the medication has an active ingredient in it, or whether it's being sold as a generic version of the drug. Smith said he's not aware of any other studies on counterfeit drugs being sold in the U. S.
Pfizer has been conducting clinical trials for Viagra and Cialis in the last couple of years to see if they can show the drug works better for the patients who are taking the medication.
The company also has been testing the drugs in the hope that they will get more consumers to buy them.Smith said he was unsure whether Pfizer is taking the company's lead to produce counterfeit Viagra.
Smith said he's been working to educate the public about the risks of counterfeit drugs, such as "the safety risks associated with counterfeit drugs," such as "dangers of public health," "and the risk of dangerous side effects."
He said he didn't think the drug makers are trying to sell the counterfeit versions of the drug in a way that they can be sold over the counter.
The FDA is reviewing the safety data of a number of Viagra and Cialis drugs, including the drug's active ingredient sildenafil.The study, called a safety study, is part of a larger study that will evaluate the safety of both Viagra and Cialis in patients who take both drugs.
Smith said he hopes to see the results from the study in the next several years.
